Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the KitchenIQ 50009 Edge Grip 2 Stage Knife Sharpener. LINK to Kitchen IQ Knife Sharpener: http://amzn.to/1MlUgFI . LINK to Knives: http://amzn.to/1jXm8cA It is a must have in your kitchen and it is under $10. Right now it’s a ridiculous $6. It comes in this black and a green color.
The sharpener is tiny. It’s a little over 3.5 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2 inches tall. It weighs 1.6 ounces. You can use it on any straight edge blade. It has a v-grip bottom to use on an edge or on the counter.
A sharp knife is really important in your kitchen because it saves you from cutting yourself. If you have a dull knife, it might slip while you’re trying to cut produce. A sharp knife goes easily and quickly through whatever you’re slicing. It saves you time and frustration.
Standing while sharpening is safest. The base is sturdy and doesn’t move around on the counter. It is comfortable to hold down.
If you have a long knife like this and pull it through the sharpener on the counter, the tip could hit the counter and you don’t want that. So the edge grip is useful, put it on the edge of your counter and pull the knife down straight. The coarse slot includes Carbide blades at preset angles to sharpen your knife. Pull the knife straight through 10 times. Then finish and polish the knife edge through the fine slot which uses ceramic rods. Wipe the knife down with a cloth because there will be residue.
It is extremely simple to use. I think it’s a great deal for the price and you will get a lot of use out of this little sharpener. Please like this video and subscribe for more reviews.
Thanks for watching and I’ll see you next time :)
