You are many things, of course
Kind, smart, bright and fun
You can open all my doors
You could light up the sun
But you're so much more that I'll want to let you know
come closer, it's not enough
I can't express all the things you are
So I'll just use stupid metaphors that I made up
You're that cool summer breeze that I long for at 10 pm
You're that tupperware of food I've been thinking 'bout during class
You're my blanket that keeps me warm when the winter night falls
And you're the waters I'll dip into when summer comes around
You're the fresh fruit that I bite into that keeps me so alive
You're a feather that falls on my coat that I blow and say "how pretty"
You're an amethyst, a river, but the prettiest ones I see
You're that rollercoaster that's just slow enough to not scare me
You're the message I received that I've waited so long to get
And you're always going to be my favorite class to learn about
Take it easy, you're the theater play that's so hard to decipher
You're the kind of perfume that's soft, sweet, but not too strong
You're the inspiration that kicks in during tougher writer's block
You're my favorite book I come back to when I need to settle down
And you're also all my favorite rocks I pick up at the store
