The Blurst of Times

The current is bellowing it's swim or drown.
With clenched fists I can't keep above the foam so I writhe in anguish.
Withered pictures in my mind, echoing that we'll be fine, how could I not see?
The pictures in my head are the same ones I've been speaking to, when I was thinking of you.

I just can't pretend that we'll all be fine.
I've never seen a thing so clearly in my whole entire life?
I'm try'na find the closest street to you, where all of the sounds of the city just fade into something that I knew.

I can't keep watching this old tape unwind, while I fumble for the edge.

Time watching idleness impede on all, is time that I can't take back.
I've gotta go - I can't sleep forever.
Teeth are crumbling in my mind, rotting down to dust, resigned.
